Honduras

Tuesday, Jan 26 we (Julie, Mike and I) awoke to depart the house at 3AM, yes an extremely early hour of the day. We were headed to pick up Laura who was joining us on the trip and then Max who was taking us to the DCA (Reagan) airport.

Mike and I were flying American Airlines while Julie and Laura were flying out on Delta. The flights were arriving within half hour of each other (1pm) and Tom, Andrew, Val, Ed, John (Laura’s husband) and Mendez were meeting us. Our flight ended up arriving after Julie and Laura’s even though it was scheduled to land a half hour earlier.

Mike and I arrived in the security line and were middle of the pack but some how we were the last 2 people to leave the area. On the positive side we did not need to wait for our baggage and they all arrived!

We had lunch in a local restaurant that was delicious and then we drove out to the team house and settled in.
