Approximately 29 children from 4-9 years old came in for a few hours in the morning and 49 children in the afternoon group.
There is a gathering time in the beginning where the students check in, grab a coloring book page and settle in. Children who have aged out of the program come back and help the younger ones move through their activities.
They follow this with calendar time and then 4 different group activities.
There is always ESL, Arts and Crafts, Games, and Bible Study. Mike and I helped with the ESL session as the person leading it was wearing a different hat that day. Her goal was to see how much the students remembered of the alphabet.
This was a highlight of our trip and Mike and I enjoyed working with the children in a fun and engaging way.
Puzzle building...
Building catapults...
Bible Study...
Crafts...
There was a hug line at the end that was endearing.
A fun, safe, exciting day was had by all!
