We learned about the different grasses and trees, and animals and birds. The day was a wee bit over cast but great just the same.
We started the day with a 16k bike ride through the vineyard to get a feel for the area. This is us after the ride still smiling and looking forward to the wine. You can guess how chilly it was by the way I am dressed. Yes, I have on a therma shirt and a fleece vest on. You can only see one of Mike's 3 layers. We stopped for scones and tea half way into the bike ride so Wendy could do a 30 minute mountain bike trail. Mike and I were perfectly happy with this plan. Mike had gotten a flat tire in the middle so I actually made it to the top before him!

We tasted some delicious wines and had a wide selection of cheeses and breads for lunch. We bought a bottle of white and it is still waiting to be sampled here in the US.
We drove on to another vineyard but were not thrilled with their wines.
There was a cheetah reserve on the way so we stopped in so Wendy could get her big cat fix.
The last tasting was nothing to write about except the sweet bottle of white that we each bought and were also rewarded with by our host, Sally.
It was a great day and we missed all the rain. We then went back to the apt. and walked along the beach.
