We colored with children, played soccer and listened to their stories.

No grass, toys, bike, etc...in the yard.

Notice the lack of furniture, art work, finished walls, etc...

This was batman.

The families live in an area that was built to relocate the families after a natural disaster. They left the known to start over and hoped for a better life. From what I saw through the lens of someone who was lucky enough to born in the right country at the right time to parents who cared for and raised me the hope for a better life is far, far away. Casa de Luz is providing hope.
Entry to a house

The building is one room that some families have divided into bedrooms by using cloth and bamboo.

Some are lucky enough to have the "kitchen" inside the house but most are not and have them outside.

Bathroom is outside under a cover roof.
The children seem happy and very grateful for the small things in life.
Here are a few photos from the walk.

Haves and have-nots
