Colorado River

Row, row row your raft
Gently down the Colorado River.
Splish Splash, Splish Splash,
The water is a little chilly!

Nine of us showed up at the Whitewater Rafting Co. and were fitted with vest and oar. No helmets and no wet suits. The water was 45 degrees....brrrrrrrr!

The rapids were mostly class 2s with 5 minutes of class 4s. They were fun but too few!

No one fell out but we were all soaked at various parts of the trip. Every time we got dry Rob would start splashing us or Ben would hit a rapid just so to get us wet.

The sun was intense and we all were a wee bit red after the trip.

Chris on the left and Rob next to him.
Kelly in the middle.
Cathy and Dick
Fordy and Mike
Nancy and Ron

After the rapids the boys tried their hands at whitewater kayaking. They had a blast. I regret not trying it.

It was a great trip!

I haven't been white water rafting in years - I think that should be the next Gill Family Vacation!!! Nance- can you arrange all the details? Thanks!
