Mike finds employment!! Nancy does cartwheels in the street!!

Nancy thought this blog-worthy so here goes. By the way I think she's way more excited about this than me but... the School needed someone to supervise the weightroom for a few hours in the afternoon, a couple days a week so I'm the guy. We've been trying to get to the gym a few times a week anyway and this at least gets one of us there twice a week for the next 12 weeks. Once I get to the gym I usually enjoy working out, but its the getting there that seems to be the hard bit. Getting paid to go to the gym actually might provide the added incentive I need.

I get asked a fair amount what I do here in Egypt. When I first arrived I was looking forward to not working for awhile, I walked around town a fair amount during the days, read a little, took some arabic lessons a few times a week and basically learned my way around, where to buy things we need etc. Played a little golf here and there too. Now that we've settled in a bit, I'm reading more, and doing some soul searching trying to figure out what I'd like to do next. I've ordered a new camera and hope to master the art of photography in the coming months-years. Maybe one day when my brother decides to open his own photography business full-time I can help. (hint hint) Meanwhile, winter break is upon us already, December 15th and we're looking forward to our trips to Germany for the Christmas Markets and Tanzania for a safari. I'll probably put my name in to start substituting at school after the break to see if teaching is really something I want to do before I commit alot of time and $$ to take the college classes I'd need. Maybe sit in on a few classes.
