October 19, 2006 we gathered outside of school at the back gate at 3:30. Left at 4PM. Drove 5 minutes when some one asked "everyone has their passport and dive card, right?" Well no Dan had forgotten his so off to his flat the 45 passenger bus drove.
About 11PM we got to the dock and boarded the Ghazala II with Ahmed as our dive master. There was some snacks waiting for us and we anxiously waited the 2 Aussies that were to join our group. We made our beds up on deck. This is Janet staking out her territory. Obviously not the first night. The sunsets were beautiful though. Sunrises too...

We left dock at about 1AM and moved away from the pollution from the other boats and the noise of the dance boat next to us.
We woke up and had a fabulous breakfast that Mike so kindly brought on deck for me because I get motion sick. Yes and I spent 4 nights at sea.
Around 8AM we get to out dive spot and have a briefing so we know what we will see and where to go. This is the crew. Our routine was dive, eat, sleep for the duration of the trip. It was fun meet some new people, got to know some old ones, and laid out in the sun to work on my Egyptian tan...which yes needs to be worked.
